Your privacy data is important to us. We, Protectsure Sdn Bhd (Protectsure) and Insurama Sdn Bhd (Insurama) are committed to ensure that your personal data provided to us are safe and secured.

The processing of your personal detail(s) shall start from the point of collection until the point of deletion from our records which may include recording, storing, organizing, altering, correcting, erasing, retrieving, disclosing your personal detail(s) for purpose of performing obligations under the insurance contract or work and/ or employment contract between you and Protectsure and Insurama.

DESCRIPTION AND SOURCE OF PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT:

  • Name, Age, Gender, Date of Birth, Occupation
  • Identification Number/ Documents (MyKad, MyKid, Passports, Work Permits etc)
  • Contact telephone number, email and correspondence address
  • Other Information about you and/ or your spouse and/ or family members and/ or next of kin such as name, age, gender ect. where it shall be deemed that you would have obtained consent for the disclosure of details of other related parties or you have the rights to do so.
  • Payment details used for payment purposes or premium refund purposes or claim settlement purposes
  • Sensitive data like physical and mental health, medical histories (if any) if the proposal is related to your application of Medical & Health Insurances. We shall obtain these information if needed with your explicit consent.

YOUR PERSONAL DATA SHALL BE COLLECTED FROM VARIOUS SOURCE INCLUDING:

  • Directly from you via various channels which will include your online enquiry, whatsapp-ed/ emailed messages with us and our work forces, telephone calls etc.
  • Your authorized and related personal (example: employer and/ or employee and/ or family and/ or business partner and/ or your representative).

The data collected from you and processed by us will be used for, but not limited to the following purposes:

INSURANCE CONTRACT

  • Risk assessment and underwriting, reinsurance, premium collection, policy issuance, claims administering and processing and claim payment by our respective principals/ insurers we are representing.
  • We use your personal detail(s) to provide you with the product(s) and service(s) requested and informing you of important changes or developments on the product(s) from time to time. These communications are not limited to the following, but connected to the insurance product(s) involved:
  • Quotations or attending to various enquiries which will include claim progress
  • Product updates and/ or development
  • Carrying out all insurance related progressive works in regard to your enquiries and/ or policy and/ or monetary transactions.

EMPLOYMENT OR OTHER CONTRACTS, WHERE IT MAY BE APPROPRIATELY APPLIED:

  • Conduct credit references and behaviour background or criminal records checking with the job application/ your resume provided by you.
  • Medical and health checks
  • Payroll and employee benefits processing and record keeping
  • Administering employee affairs and record keeping
  • Any processing that is necessary for enforcement of any laws and regulations including crime reporting
  • Processing payment of professional fees or charges, payments to contractors, payment to vendors and all official invoices received by us during the course of our business
  • Other activities include providing information related to our businesses, internal and/ or external memos and notices, through telemarketing, internet marketing, electronically transmitted short messages and other promotional marketing and/ or communication channels.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

  • Your personal data provided to us will be disclosed to various insurers we are working in partnership with. These information are needed to enforce an insurance policy, to provide a quotation and/ or facilitate a claim, in or out of Malaysia.
  • It is voluntary for you to furnish us your personal details as per our request. However if you opt not to do so, we may not be able to proceed or provide you with the offering of the product(s) and services(s) you request, or to inform you about other products and services offered by us and our partnering principals (insurers)

YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

It is our priority to keep personal details collected from you accurate, up-to-date and protected. You may view, correct or update your details found to be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading by making a written request via email, facsimile or written notices. We shall proceed to do the necessary amendment.

You may request in writing to terminate a policy, to enforce a policy, to rectify or delete your personal data.

You may request to stop receiving updates, promotional emails and/ or any forms of marketing communications from us by writing in to us.

OUR (Protectsure Sdn Bhd and Insurama Sdn Bhd) COMMITMENT:

  • To ensure the protection of your personal detail(s) against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or deletion.
  • To attend to all enquiries or complaints you may have pertaining to your personal detail(s), within the ambit of law
  • We shall retain your personal data for as long as it is required to provide you with your requested service(s) and/ or product(s) or permitted by law.
  • All processing of your personal data by us is made in line with the requirement of our principal partners (insurers). We have signed legit contracts with our principals (insurers) in order to represent them in promoting and establishing a legit insurance coverage for you.
  • Protectsure Sdn Bhd and Insurama Sdn Bhd reserves the right to amend this policy notice at any time without prior notice. Any such amendment shall be effective once the revised changes have been posted on our website. You are encouraged to check the contents from time to time so that you are aware of any amendments that we have made.
